Coding

OpenCode

OpenCode is an open-source coding agent you can run in a terminal, desktop app or IDE extension while pointing it at local or hosted models. Developers who already pay for ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot can connect those subscriptions, spin up parallel agent sessions and share session links when collaborating. Optional OpenCode Go subscriptions and Zen pay-as-you-go balances exist for people who want curated model access without managing every provider key themselves. The core agent remains free and open source; paid layers are about model routing and quota convenience. Limitation: free models and BYO keys still incur provider costs outside OpenCode, and Go/Zen fees apply if you rely on their hosted catalogs. Treat agent patches like any Junior engineer work—tests and review remain mandatory.

Key features

Limitations

The agent binary is free, but model tokens are not—either bring your own paid keys or use OpenCode Go/Zen paid model access; free model options are limited.

"Not listed" means the official page shows no list price for that billing period (often contact sales). We never fill gaps from third-party sites.
